Artistic Portraits for Sheng Hong

I have spent the last year and a half trying to push beyond photography in my Master of Art (Fine Arts). It was nice to be back in the studio being challenged by my friend Serene Tan to create some movement shots for the Chinese music and dance teachers. It has been a long time since I used a slow shutter and flash technique.

A New Year

Family Portrait
Family portrait when I was three

This is a portrait of my father, my eldest aunt on my mother’s side of the family, my siblings and my cousins. That boy on the bottom left, is me just one month shy of being three years old. My brother and sister are to the left of me and the other children are my cousins from my eldest aunt.

There was a time I did not find family portraits fun to do. It was work for me. However, as I age, and my parents age, I find family portraits more and more meaningful. As such, I am inclined to offer family portraiture services once again. Family portraits are important moments in time captured for prosperity.

I am still finishing of my masters of Fine Art at LASALLE in the first half of this year. I will be offering my portraiture services in earnest once I have finished my studies.
